We believe through early training in self-awareness, self-discovery, self-empowerment and emotional intelligence, girls can design a path they can follow that helps them better navigate the often challenging waters of puberty, adolescence, self-identity and yes, self-esteem. Girls must learn to love themselves through their negative experiences and cherish their positive experiences.
We believe our program is really a blending of many social experiences girls face and the lessons learned from them. It has taken many years to create a program that reaches girls at the ages when self-esteem is most affected. A program framework has been designed, program curriculum has been outlined and written, expert advice has been sought and incorporated, and community partners being identified. We are continuously identifying and targeting program candidates through local schools and social service agencies for each of the selected age groups of 7-10, 11-14 and 15 to 18. Our program does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
