Lisa McKenzie is the president and chief executive officer for Desert Living, Inc., a community association management company that she founded in 2002. She has a combined total of over twenty five years of residential real estate sales and marketing experience along with community association management in the Las Vegas and Henderson communities. Ms. McKenzie is currently overseeing a portfolio of twenty two homeowner associations with over $5 million worth of assets.
Lisa and her family have been living in the Las Vegas Valley since 1984 after relocating from Michigan. She and her husband David have raised their two children here and actively participated in Little League, PTA, and currently belong to American Legion Post 40 in Henderson and support the Wounded Warrior Project.
Beginning in 2004, Ms. McKenzie began a course of studies that allowed her to obtain the association management designations of CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist).
In 2010, Ms. McKenzie was awarded the prestigious PCAM® designation from the Community Association Institute, a national organization headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia. The PCAM® designation is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management. Worldwide, less than 2,000 professional managers currently hold the PCAM® designation.
Ms. McKenzie is a member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and has previously been honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Chamber. She is a recent graduate of the Chamber’s distinguished Leadership Henderson Program and belongs to the Leadership Henderson Elite Alumni Group. Lisa is also a member of the Community Association Institute, CAMEO, and the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers.
Lisa and her husband David currently reside in Henderson with their rescued Norfolk Terrier, Frankie.
